She gasped at the tap on her window and looked up to find a man standing outside of her car. His dark hair and blue eyes were striking, his features beautiful, and expression compassionate. She should be afraid, she thought, but she wasn't. There was something about him that made her feel safe. It was a feeling she had experienced with only one other person in her life - her son's father. She reached for the controls on her door and rolled the window down as she studied the man, his suit and tan trench coat out of place in the area they were in.

 

"Would you prefer to sleep in the car?" he asked her, as though he were confused as to why she hadn't exited the vehicle.

 

"What?" Becca frowned and shook her head.

 

"You prayed for a place to rest," he told her matter of factly. "You did call for me."

 

"I - what?" The more he spoke, the more confused she became. 

 

"I am Castiel," he said as though speaking to a child, and watched her eyes widen. "Why does this surprise you? You have called for me multiple times."

 

"No, Cas. . ." She fell silent as she turned her head, and he followed her gaze to the child resting in the back seat. "Castiel is my son."
